Nicole Montgomery

Hi, my name is Nicole.  This is my third year coaching for Thunder.  I have played volleyball for 10 years! Growing up, I played volleyball, basketball, cross country, and track. Volleyball is easily my favorite of all. I began playing volleyball my sophomore year of high school, played club ball for 3 years, and was on the roster at MSSU for 2 years. I played MB in high school, MB/OH during club ball, and DS at MSSU. My experience with several different positions has led me to be the coach I am today. I have a passion for volleyball that I hope to pass on to all the players I coach. I was the head coach of Carthage Spikers 15’s in 2016 and 16’s in 2017, with two very successful seasons. I am returning to coaching after taking time off to focus on grad school for the past 3 years. I graduated in May with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy and am currently a pediatric physical therapist! My husband, Gary, and I currently live in North Kansas City, but soon will be moving into our first home in Grain Valley. We have a Golden Retriever puppy named Gracie who loves everyone she meets and is a big ball of energy.
